Distracted Driving Fatalities and Injuries: 2005–2015


Distracted driving involves any activity that could divert a person's attention away from the primary task of driving, such as texting, using a cell phone, eating and drinking, grooming, using a navigation system, adjusting a radio, etc. Distracted driving fatality data for 2010 and on are not comparable with previous years due to changes in methodology.
