Transportation and Warehousing Labor Productivity Components by Mode
Shaded areas indicate economic recessions. Labor hours is the total number of number of hours worked by all workers in a sector to produce gross output. Gross output is the total value of goods and services produced by the sector. Gross output includes the value of the goods and services used to produce the sector output. Labor productivity measures a sector’s output per unit of labor input.
